One of those posts was from an actress. Ryza Cenon hopped in on the fun by sharing a meme of her seemingly becoming a shooting athlete too for the Olympics.
ICYDK, two shooters went viral for their skills and their *aura points* during the Games. One of them was Turkish athlete Yusuf Dikeç. He's a 51-year-old retired police officer and he got everyone so interested in him because of his unemotional yet calm demeanor as he competed. He bagged the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol category on July 28, 2024.
Making more Olympic fans and viewers swoon was 31-year-old South Korean shooter Kim Yeji. This woman brought her A game all throughout the competition. Aside from bagging the gold medal, Yeji went viral for her charisma and cool aura as a shooting athlete. A photo of her shooting position—so focused while stylishly leaning back made rounds online, garnering online users raving about how cool she is.

Ryza Cenon posts meme about her viral shooting scene
While everyone is talking about Yusuf and Yeji, the Filipinos have nominated their own outstanding athlete in the form of Ryza Cenon. The actress is known for her viral "nerf gun" scene in 2017 from her teleserye, Ika-6 Na Utos.
She posted an edited photo on Facebook posing as the Philippine representative for the sport. Her photo was edited beside official photos of Yusuf and Yeji leaning back as they aim their pistols during the competition.
Ryza found the photo amusing and wrote a caption that read, "Yung wala kang kaalam-alam na kasali ka pala sa Olympics." She also joked about getting super pressured to bring home the gold medal, LOL! "Nakaka-pressure naman, parang kailangan maiuwi ang gold," the actress said.
The Internet Welcomes Ryza Cenon's Olympic Stint
When it comes to posts like this, Pinoys are no killjoy. In fact, they even supported it! Online citizens flocked to Ryza's Facebook post and congratulated her, LOL.
One commenter said, "Pinakamalupit talaga pag Philippines na ang pinag-usapan. [laughing emoji]" While another one joked, "Proud Filipino here."
And of course, there were those who sent Ryza words of encouragement for her so-called bout at the Olympics. "Go Ryza!!!" one netizen cheered.
IRL tho, Ryza is busy filming for an upcoming horror film by director Mikhail Red. She will be acting alongside Heaven Peralejo, Phoebe Walker, Eula Valdez, and Nicole Omillo. She also recently made rounds online for debuting her shaved head. She did it in preparation for her role as a cult member in the film.
