We've read it all, Cosmo fam. As in all. We, the Cosmopolitan Philippines team, just launched our newest Cosmo Crush of the month, and no doubt, the Internet went K-R-A-Z-Y over Sam Concepcion.
The 32-year-old theater actor transitioned from being a Candy Cutie to our mighty Cosmo Crush for November 2024. (ICYDK, Sam was also a Cosmopolitan cover star back in 2014!) We confess this early that we might have had moments when we couldn't take our eyes off of our cover star's a?r?m?s? visuals. But we enjoyed it even more when we read everyone's take on Sam's comeback shoot with Cosmopolitan Philippines!
The Internet just went wild for Sam Concepcion
TBH, we wouldn't have been in this moment without everyone's enthusiasm over a viral photo of Sam a few months back. In case you missed it, Sam shared a a photo of him wearing a white sando that highlighted his biceps which were—well, effortlessly ripped.
Sam admitted that he was surprised by the reactions. But of course, he was flattered enough to know that one random photo of him went viral for all the good reasons. "There was no intention behind it or anything, but sometimes you really cannot anticipate what the Internet will do or say. I just woke up one day and people started sending me all these links to these articles and all that. I thought, 'Okay, what's going on?' I mean, it's nice. It's flattering in many ways," Sam told Cosmo.

While Sam didn't intend it, the Internet said its piece and the Cosmo girls listened. We're more than grateful that Sam gave us the chance and happily obliged to do some fan service for the Samsters. But when the snaps were released, the overwhelming positive (and spicy) reactions to it were definitely unexpected. Most comments on our social media pages were calling out for Sam with, "Dzadeeeyy!" (Your comment—not ours!)
There's also this one comment that got us all LOL-ing. It read, "Twink death personified—twunk to hunk." As Sam mentioned in our exclusive chat with him, he became the type of guy who rarely posted on social media during the pandemic. And so posting a pic of his not-so-new bod surely had the people of the Internet shook.
Fans who have been with Sam since day 1 also came to our comments section and expressed their appreciation for the celebrity. "OMG so happy for him! Finally the spotlight he deserves! Been a fan since Little Big Star," a fan lovingly wrote. In case you didn't know, Sam started exploring the world of showbiz after he won the first season of the reality singing contest Little Big Star in 2005. It was really one of his breakthrough moments in the entertainment industry, and he hasn't let go since then.
The same goes for most of his fans who said that he's their "Forever crush!" We basically grew up watching Sam bloom into the man—or should we call him daddy now as the Internet dubs him?—he is today. From pursuing music to traversing his career into acting, and now doing theater runs, Sam has been nurturing his talent well.
And love life-wise? The star admits that he already has a special someone in his life! If you're curious about who the lucky girl is...well, Sam chose not to drop names but he happily described his dream girl. Sam shared that she's "funny and has a great personality. She gets along with people, very pleasant. Easy to be around, easy to have around. Sweet, caring, thoughtful. And at the same time, they carry themselves well. Quite confident, all that stuff."
His fans commented, "Kaya pala blooming!? Si 'happily taken' pala ito eh." Despite that, fans still want to be his "someone to hold you tight, someone to make you feel alright." LOL, we support!

Since we've seen all your comments, perhaps it's time for you to see ours. Don't get us wrong—it was a complete pleasure to work with Sam and his team on this cover. But the difficulty in choosing the final photos to upload? It was tough!
When the first batch of photos were sent, the Cosmo team couldn't help but exclaim, "My GOODNESS," and "Ang hirap pumili!" All his photos were that good-looking. (Yes, there's a lot more where that came from and we'll let you in on them when the time comes.)
We may have had a hard time narrowing it down, but we absolutely had fun choosing. "This job specifically is so fun talaga," one of our editors said. And when it was time for the final selects, another editor just had to insert one last praise for Sam, "This guy is really so cute :)"
And then the rest was history ;)
