K-pop idols are known for being under *strict* guidance from their agencies as they are often subject to criticism for every move they make. Their public image, dating lives, and even the people they follow on Instagram can easily make headlines in the entertainment industry.
Even a K-pop legend like Sandara Park was no stranger to this rule, as she revealed that she was once under a “dating ban” at her previous company during her early years as an idol.
“I followed all the dating bans enforced by my [agency] CEO in the past. I had a ‘good kid’ complex, so if they said ‘no dating’ then I didn’t do it,” she shares during her guest appearance on the South Korean variety show Problem Child in House.

After more than a decade of proving herself to be a prominent personality in the industry, the aforementioned “dating ban” was lifted until she eventually left her previous company in 2021. Now at 37, our Pambansang Krung-Krung reveals that she’s ~ready~ for a long-term relationship.
“I really want to date someone for a long time. I live alone now, and things are much better [in] my life. I’ve also become more mature. I’m ready for that.” Aww!
Just know that we are rooting for you and your happiness, DARA!
