The P-Pop Stars On Cosmetic Procedures And Confidence
Stell and Pablo didn't shy away from Boy Abunda's questions as guests of this week's Fast Talk With Boy Abunda episode. The P-Pop performers celebrated their newest roles as coaches on The Voice Kids and gave honest opinions on plastic surgery and cosmetic treatments. Boy confirms that Stell and Pablo don't mind being asked if they've gone under the knife or got injectibles.
"Yeah. Even my friends po when they ask me. Parang, 'Uy, nagpa-ano ka ba talaga?' Sinasabi ko, 'oo'," said Stell. Pablo playfully interjects, "Tinatanong mo pa ba?" Stell followed up with, "'Di ba obvious?' Dati sinasagot ko, 'Pag sinabi ko bang no maniniwala ka? 'Di ba hindi ka rin maniniwala.' So sinasabi ko kasi wala naman pong mali. Kasi I am sure pag tinanong ko yung friend ko, sabihin niya, 'Ay, pag may pera ako magpapagawa ako din niyan."
Pablo also shares an anecdote of how his opinion about surgical enhancements changed. He admits that when SB19 was starting, Pablo didn't consider getting treatments.
"Hindi ko na lang namalayan one day na nagpapa-filler na ako dito," said Pablo, pointing to his forehead. "Parang sabi ko, nakaka-boost pala talga siya ng confidence."
"If you have the means. why not?" said Stell. "'Di naman hinihingi yun, pinagtratrabahuhan."
Since their debut and despite their success, SB19 members have received negative comments about their appearance. Ironically, they also receive criticism as they sought cosmetic procedures.
PEP.ph reported on how Stell highlighted that going to the doctor can also be a form of self-love during an interview with Jessica Soho. "Well, this time, sa panahon po ngayon, wala naman po kasing masama when it comes to enhancing yourself. Hashtag self-love. Kung dun ka magiging masaya, dun ka magiging confident, ano naman?"
