Pretty Little Liars and You star Shay Mitchell dished out an expert clap back in response to a handful of haters who criticized a breastfeeding picture she posted on Instagram.
The actress, who shared her pregnancy journey with fans via her YouTube channel, welcomed her baby girl Atlas with boyfriend Matte Babel in October.
Earlier this week, she posted a stunning photo of herself breastfeeding her little girl. "Breast friends," Shay wrote.
The beautiful shot received more than three million likes and hundreds of adoring comments from famous friends. Vanessa Hudgens wrote: "I mean come onnnnn????," while mom-to-be Ashley Graham commented, "Mommy Goals!"
But, because the internet isn't always such a warm and welcoming place, a handful of haters also left comments criticizing the photo.
"I'm a fan of her, but this picture just says it's an attention-getter. She's not even looking at the baby, she's not connected with the baby, she's connected with the camera," one said.
After spotting the comment, Shay responded: "I missed the part in the baby books that stated I had to maintain eye contact with my daughter while she feeds rather than capturing an amazing moment we were having. Please let me know where I can download your parenting manual, I'll get right on it!"
The actress, who most recently starred as Peach Salinger in Netflix thriller You, also spoke to People magazine about dealing with negativity.
"I've really had a good experience, from even before being a mom, with dealing with negative comments sometimes and other people," the 32-year-old shared. "But it's never about me at the end of the day, it's about these other people, so I'm just gonna let them say what they wanna say but it doesn't really affect me."
