When Miss Earth 2016 ended early for the Philippine bet Imelda Schweighart, Pinoy beauty pageant fans still had Sweden's Cloie Skarne to root for.
Cloie is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion with his ex-wife Jenny Syquia, who remarried a Swedish national named Filip Skarne. Cloie was legally adopted by Filip.
During the Miss Earth coronation night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, October 29, Cloie's half-sisters KC Concepcion (Gabby's daughter with Sharon Cuneta) and Garie Concepcion (Gabby's daughter with Grace Ibuna) expressed their support for her on Twitter.
KC went on total fangirl mode on Twitter. In one of her tweets about Cloie, she said, "Thought I was going to faint!!! She answered so well! Kept her composure even if I could feel her nervesssss!"

Garie, on the other hand, did not have as many tweets but she did tweet a shot of the ongoing pageant with these words: "My dear Clo, I am so proud of you."

Cloie finished in the Top 8.
Miss Ecuador Katherine Espín was crowned Miss Earth 2016.
"This is the second time Ecuador has won the Manila-based pageant. In 2011, the country's representative, Olga Álava, also took home the Miss Earth crown," notes ABS-CBN News.
The runners-up were Colombia's Michelle Gomez (Miss Earth Air), Venezuela's Stephanie De Zorzi (Miss Earth Water), and Brazil's Bruna Zanardo (Miss Earth Fire).
