What's the plot of Hwaran?
Under the noir genre, the film will tell the story of how a group tries to break free from reality and make risky decisions that will change their lives.
Who's in the cast of Hwaran?
According to Soompi, Joong Ki will portray Chi Geon "who’s in charge of middle management for an organization." Actor Hong Sa Bin will be his partner-in-crime named Yeon Gyu. BIBI's character in Hwaran is not yet disclosed, but she's a confirmed cast member.
For his stint in Hwaran, Joong Ki will join the cast with no guarantee. This means that he will not receive any payment and it's because he wants to show his support for the film's artistic quality. "I'm happy to appear in Hwaran and since it's a project that will be a new challenge for me, it feels new. I'm looking forward to the competitive and passionate set that we will create together with the director and actors," he said during the movie's script reading.
Who's producing Hwaran?
The film will be produced by Sanai Pictures and HISTORY D&C, a.k.a Joong Ki's agency. The label explained that the actor personally decided not to get paid and that their involvement in Hwaran has nothing to do with it.
