Sex appears to be a very sensitive topic in Filipino households. But for Sunshine Cruz, it is better to have an open communication line with her daughters when it comes to discussions on sex and relationships.
Sunshine is a mother to three gorgeous daughters namely, Angelina, Sam, and Chesca.

Sunshine revealed that her daughters have shared stories about their relationships and thoughts on love as well. "Nagkukwento na rin sila tungkol sa mga crushes, may mga nanliligaw. Nandun na kami sa point na very open na 'yung communication," Sunshine told PEP.ph in an interview.
When asked whether sex has been discussed in their family, the actress admits imparting some reminders to her daughters about it.
Sunshine advised her children to preserve themselves, as much as possible. "'Yung sex, of course, open naman kami diyan pero ang lagi kong sinasabi sa kanila, if you can preserve yourself, the better. Alagaan niyo yung mga sarili niyo," she declared.
Sunshine explained that dating is not a deal-breaker in their house, however, she still prays that her kids would still set boundaries when it comes to relationships.
"Pwede naman kayong mag-MU (mutual understanding), mag-date but 'yung mga ganyan hanggang maaari sana 'yun naman ang prayer ng lahat ng mga magulang na alam ng mga bata 'yung boundary nila when it comes to those kinds of things," the actress explained.

Sunshine also spoke about how she supports her daughters' respective choices when it comes to fashion. Although some netizens have made toxic and inappropriate comments about her daughters, Sunshine sees no problem with how her children present themselves.
"Basta you feel comfortable, you're confident sa suot niyo, go lang. Wala naman tayong nilalabag na batas. Wear what you want, wear what makes you happy. Wala naman tayong sinasaktang tao by doing that," Sunshine said.
