It’s her, hi! Taylor Swift once again proved her pop icon status by breaking records today at the Grammys 2024, taking home her 4th Album of the Year nod for Midnights. The pop star bested three other icons whom she previously shared the record with: Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon, who each won the honor three times.
In her acceptance speech, Taylor only had the most heartfelt message. “I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life but I feel this happy when I finish a song,” she said. For me, the award is the work. All I want to do is to keep being able to do this.”

She added, “All I want to do is keep doing this, so thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to let me do what I love so much.” Aww, congrats Tay!
Taylor, who arrived on the red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli gown and 300 carats of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry on her neck, also treated fans to exciting news: She’s releasing new music come April 19th! “I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19,” she said in that speech. “It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m gonna go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you. I love you. Thank you.”

Right there and then, Taylor’s post immediately went live, revealing what appears to be the album’s artwork. She also posted a photo of a handwritten note that reads, “And so I enter into evidence / My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs / My veins of pitch black ink / All’s fair in love and poetry…” She signed off the poem (or lyrics) with, “Sincerely, The Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department.”
