This Is Not A Drill: Taylor Swift Has Just Announced Her New Album's Release Date

Following her lead single “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie, Taylor Swift has finally revealed the title and release date of her new album: Lover will be out on August 23! She also has a new song coming out in a few hours called “You Need To Calm Down,” with the music video to be released on Monday.

The 18-track album is “very romantic,” said Taylor on Instagram Live, according to Billboard. This doesn’t mean that it will be all love songs, though. “Not just simply thematically. You can find romance in loneliness or sadness.”

Taylor also revealed that she collaborated with designer Stella McCartney to create pieces inspired by the music of Lover.
