The VMAs are happening as we speak, everyone! And naturally, the queen that is Taylor Swift opened the show. She performed "You Need to Calm Down" and "Lover" off her new album, also called Lover, and while her fans were LOVING/living for it, there were also a lot of people who were not so enthused.
People are legit tearing her apart on Twitter right now. Whether you feel like that's necessary or not is up to you, but here's what they're saying.
There are some complaints about her song choice specifically.
Some just didn't wanna hear from her at all.
Others complained about the actual sound, which is interesting.
Like, they couldn't hear her, which is probably the most legit of all these points. Like, if you can't hear the musical acts, what's the point?
There is no wrong time for a Stanley GIF, frankly.
IDK, people just have a lot of questions about it.
As I said, her fans still loved the performance, so this is just one section of the internet voicing their opinions about things. And look, I'm not here to judge the quality of Taylor's performance. I'm only here to relay that certain people did not like it. I don't make the rules, sorry!
