Earlier today, their relationship was revealed by various Korean media outlets and not long after, it was said that Jong Seo's agency, MY Company, has confirmed the news. Additionally, it was reported that the two did not hide what they have from the movie industry—they were spotted in a couple of film festivals and were seen being affectionate with each other.

Jong Seo started her career in the critically acclaimed movie Burning (2018) as the female lead (!!) and it was followed by The Call. The Netflix film earned her praises from its viewers, plus the Best Actress trophy at the prestigious 57th Baeksang Arts Awards. For her next project, she's set to appear as Tokyo in the Korean adaptation of Money Heist.

On the other hand, The Call marks director Chung Hyun's movie debut. He previously helmed the short film Bargain (2015).

P.S: During the press con for The Call, the rookie director was mistaken for an actor due to his looks!

In an interview with Sports Kyunghang via Soompi, Jong Seo mentioned that she's a fan of Bargain. She also shared her experience working with the director: "Bargain clearly has its own style, and I think that’s the director’s trademark. However, when we first filmed for The Call, the director didn’t direct every take. I thought it was odd. When I asked why after filming, he revealed he was trying to see what style of actress I am and how he could use me as an actress to maximize my acting. He determined he could leave me to act freely and set me right when I strayed slightly. That’s what he did until the end of filming, and our teamwork was really good. Since he’s a director with insight about me, I also trusted him."
