Lately, we've been a little starved for rom-com content over on Netflix. After the releases of Set It Up, The Kissing Booth, Alex Strangelove, To All the Boys I've Loved Before, Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, et cetera, et cetera, they were totally on a ROLL...and then they just, like, stopped? Which is honestly so rude of them. But don't worry, my rom-com lovers—a new addition is coming to Netflix very soon, and it's going to be your next obsession.
What is it, you ask? Well, it's called The Perfect Date, and it's hitting your Netflix home page in just a few short weeks. With dedicated fan bases behind The Kissing Booth and TATBILB, this movie has a lot to live up to. But judging by what we know so far, it's going to be SO GOOD.
It stars some of your fave young actors.
What is a Netflix teen rom-com without Noah Centineo? Honestly, I don't want to find out. He's truly just meant to play a goofy, lovable heartthrob, and I will never get tired of seeing his face on my screen. In addition to our internet bae, Riverdale's own Camila Mendes will be starring in the movie too. She plays Shelby Pace, a "beautiful, fashionable private school student who is bored by her wealthy male suitors." Um, Veronica, is that you??

The last person to round out the main cast is Laura Marano, who you might remember as Ally from Austin & Ally. She'll be playing Celia Lieberman, "the daughter of wealth and privilege with a fierce urge to be herself at all costs." Okay, so they're both rich and beautiful. Cool, cool.
It's very similar to another rom-com you love.
What's good, To All the Boys I've Loved Before? Apparently, Netflix loves a good fake boyfriend storyline because Noah is doing it AGAIN. Why do you have to play with our feelings like this, Noah?

At least it's for a good reason this time though. His character, Brooks Rattigan, is trying to save money for college. So he does what any normal teen would do: get a job create an app where people can rent him as their stand-in boyfriend (hence why the movie's original title was The Stand-In).
But as you can imagine, being a fake boyfriend for a million different people gets exhausting. Eventually, he falls in love with someone along the way, and Brooks realizes who he ~really~ is.
It's coming to Netflix way sooner than you think.
When Netflix first announced The Perfect Date, it teased that Noah "will pretend to be your boyfriend this summer." But now we don't even have to wait that long! In the newest promo, Netflix revealed that it's coming on April 12—yes, mere *weeks* away. So prepare thyself; your newest obsession will be here before you know it.
