All the ladies who attended this year's Star Magic Ball deserve a round of applause. Some rocked Old Hollywood glam, while others turn up in elegant minimalist gowns.
But there were 11 standout celebs who worked the red carpet. From their hair to their makeup, from their chosen accessories to their sparkly shoes, these über-confident stars definitely shone brightly that night.
1. Kathryn Bernardo in Patricia Santos
For this year's ball, Kathryn drew her design inspiration from her fans.
As the highly popular young star told PEP.ph: "Sila nag-suggest, actually. Kasi yearly yata nila inaabangan ['yung look ng gown], and this year marami sila sinend out or tini-tweet na photos na, 'Sana maging ito look niyo for tonight.' So 'yung iba talaga, in-incorporate namin sa gown. So, ito, 'yung cut, 'yung silhouette na ito, idea nila ito."

2. Liza Soberano in Christian Dior
Liza and her glam team took a different style route this year.
The young Kapamilya actress and her stylist Perry Tabora decided to be more "laid-back" and not go that "extra length" to create another gown.
"We decided to get something off-the-rack," Liza told PEP and some members of the press.

3. Kim Chiu in Michael Leyva
As a constant red-carpet stunner at the Star Magic Ball, Kim confessed that she felt pressured to top her previous looks.
She exclaimed, "Super! Super pressure! Hindi ko alam, parang for ten years, dapat iba-iba. Dapat hindi the same style."
This year, Kim wanted to combine her love for ball gowns and the ball's modern sleek theme.
She turned to designer Michael Leyva to help her pull that off—and the result was magical.

4. Denise Laurel in Michael Cinco
The Dubai-based designer was supposed to design Denise's gown for the Star Magic Ball in 2014.
It took a while for Denise and Michael to get in touch with each other again, but the wait proved to be well worth it, for Denise was a picture of elegance on the red carpet.

5. Maja Salvador in Michael Cinco
Maja looked gorgeous as she channeled her Wildflower character Ivy Aguas in this daring black Michael Cinco cape gown.

6. Julia Barretto in Mark Bumgarner
Designer Mark Bumgarner made three "best-dressed worthy" designs for the Star Magic Ball 2017.
First up was Julia in her sparkling, figure-hugging gown. This design made her the worthy recipient of the "Belle of the Ball" award.

7. Maymay Entrata in Mark Bumgarner
The second Mark Bumgarner design to make it to our list is Maymay's white, crystal-studded ball gown. She looked so gorgeous, we almost forgot it was her first time to attend the ball!

8. Jodi Sta. Maria in Mark Bumgarner
Jodi's red-carpet look was reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn's classic style from the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's.

9. Pia Wurtzbach in Ezra Couture
Miss Universe 2015 pulled off her edgier new look with a sharp bob and a black, mermaid-cut gown with a thigh-high slit.
Whatever extra hours Pia has been spending at the gym paid off handsomely: her gown perfectly accentuated her sexy figure.

10. Elisse Joson in Michael Leyva
Elisse departed from her sweet and romantic look at last year's ball and chose a more mature style. She donned a nude, feathery frock by Michael Leyva.

11. Bea Alonzo in Monique Lhuillier
Continuing her minimalist fashion approach, Bea looked immaculate in her figure-fitting gown.
