Following Maggie Wilson's split from Victor Consunji in September 2021, netizens have been linking her to businessman-slash-friend Tim Connor. The dating rumors intensified after the two went on a trip together in Thailand where they celebrated Tim's birthday together. Despite this, the two have repeatedly stressed that they're just friends, and have vehemently denied all cheating allegations. In the words of Tim himself, "neither Maggie Wilson or I had an affair with each other".
In July, Maggie accused VCDC, a real estate company owned by Victor, of kicking her out of her house—she also alleged that they cut off the electricity in her home while the rest of the surrounding houses continued to have their lights on. Only a day later, Victor filed adultery charges against the beauty queen and her business partner, which Maggie has since refuted.
Today, Tim Connor took to Instagram Stories to answer a question regarding his future children. Asked numerous times whether he'd bring his kids up in the Philippines, the entrepreneur gave a lengthy answer. He also discussed how witnessing the ongoing legal issues between Maggie and Victor have influenced his thoughts regarding the topic.
"This is a question l usually get asked by women who live outside of PH or have non-Filipino boyfriends/husbands/partners.
The short answer is ABSOLUTELY not! In my experience with seeing what @wilsonmaggie has gone through, particularly with separation, adultery case and harassment etc. Men are of free will to treat women like absolute garbage with minimal rights, almost as though they are second-class citizens, (Some laws enable men to file cases against women, but women are unable to men, just because we have a penis, we are afforded more privileges!!?)
Maggie is fortunate enough to have multi-citizenship/residencies along with access to great lawyers and supporters, which I realise the vast majority of Filipino women do not!
Observing what I have seen with baseless cases (5+), this general passive toxic macho syndrome and under-representation of women across leadership positions, change is needed to bring the Philippines into the 21st century. I am not talking about some of the woke women’s rights movements we have witnessed across the West but just some basic fundamental rights.
Despite the above, I do see green shoots from the BBM administration, which I really hope will move things forward. I get sick of hearing, “this is just how the Philippines operates!” (Yes, it probably did in the 1940s, but it shouldn’t in 2022!)"
Maggie has since reposted Tim's story as of this writing.
