Tom Holland may have played the fictional superhero Spider-Man, but he recently proved that he is a hero in real life.
According to a report, Tom was in New York as he helped a young fan to safety after she experienced a panic attack as she was pushed by male autograph hunters. Posting on Twitter, the girl said that the autograph hunters shoved their way to the front of the crowd as they were “pushing and basically climbing behind us.” She also said that her “neck was literally against the barricade with 30 grown men behind me pushing.”
The fan recounted how Tom saw that she was starting to panic and he helped her by holding the barricade to prevent it from collapsing. In another tweet, the fan said that Tom threatened the autograph hunters and he came to her and calmed her down.
Several Twitter users commended Tom for helping the girl out. One said, “Even more proof that Tom Holland is the most thorough, perfect, polite, selfless human being alive I love this man.”
