"Kahit mahirap, hindi ko iiwanan si Awra," these are the exact words that Vice Ganda said when asked about her ties to talent Awra Briguela, who got detained after a viral bar brawl in Makati City last June.
In an interview with MJ Felipe, Vice finally shed light on allegations that the young star is no longer under her management.
She said it was puzzling how these rumors spread, but clarified that no one actually asked her about it nor interviewed Awra. This is also the first time that Vice broke her silence following the incident.
"Saan kaya nila nakukuha ('yung balita)? Kaya sabi ko grabe talaga 'yung clout-chasing, para magamit 'yung issue, magamit 'yung pangalan ko, magamit 'yung pangalan ni Awra kasi maingay 'yung pangalan niya. 'Yung clickbait, grabe. So there's no truth 'dun sa issue na iniwan ko si Awra. No. Aalalayan ko si Awra sa journey niya," Vice clarified during the interview.

In good times and in bad, Vice has proven that she will always be a mother to Awra. She emphasized that Awra needs guidance now, more than ever. "Hindi kami naghihiwalay ni Awra. Hindi ko siya iiwanan lalong-lalo na sa posisyong ito. She needs guidance. I will be there for her," said Vice.
The Unkabogable star admitted that she was mad about the incident but she chose to deal with it in a peaceful manner. Vice shared that she calmly sorted out everything with Awra.

"Pinagpahinga ko muna siya ng ilang araw, tapos ako din papahupain ko kasi ako rin galit din ako, mainit din ang ulo ko... 'Nung kinausap ko siya, sabi ko, everything is coming from concern, and love, and support. Kinausap ko siya kaharap 'yung tatay niya," Vice told MJ.
Although Vice could not speak for Awra, she assured the public that Awra has been reflecting on the recent incident. "She's okay and she's trying to be better each day," Vice declared.

Vice also reacted to fake news spreading in social media. "Bahala kayo sa mga buhay niyo. But again, at the end of the day, the truth will prevail."
Awra is facing five complaints filed by the alleged victim Mark Christian Ravana. Although CCTV footage of what transpired before the altercation made rounds on social media, the case remains under investigation. The complainant claimed that the squabble started when he declined Awra's demand to remove his shirt.
