Senator Sherwin "Win" Gatchalian has finally spoken up amid his girlfriend Bianca Manalo's alleged text scandal with Kapuso actor Rob Gomez.
Over the weekend, screenshots of a leaked private conversation made the rounds on social media, where Bianca supposedly was arranging a meet-up with Rob.
In the convo, Bianca asked Rob if he could pass by her house in Makati at around 7:00 a.m. as she needed to leave at 10:00 a.m.
In her next message, she tells Rob, "He's not here. He's in Valenzuela [sic]." Netizens assumed Bianca was referring to Win.
In a separate screenshot, Bianca messaged Rob about how he must be busy with yet another girl.
"You didn't reply on telegram. Meron ka na namang na pick up na ibang girl noh *insert shy emoji*"
The screenshots did not include Rob's alleged replies.
On December 22, Friday, Bianca broke her silence, saying in a statement that she and Rob are mere co-workers and friends, also that the leaked conversation was about Rob wanting to pass by to drop his Christmas gifts before she left for the airport.
Bianca said it was "upsetting" that the texts were leaked without her consent, making it a breach of privacy and causing Bianca to be bashed online.
"It is obvious parts of our conversation were deleted to create malicious insinuations," Bianca expressed.

Amid the brouhaha, Win finally reacted to the issue.
"What a beautiful Christmas gift from @tootsyangara and @sonnyangara." Win wrote in an IG post, featuring framed photos with Bianca.
"@biancamanalo and I share the same values and principles in life," he added. "No fake news will divide us apart."

Another actress who has been embroiled in the alleged text controversy is Rob's Magandang Dilag co-star, Herlene Budol.

Bianca and Win have been in a relationship for five years.
