Yam Concepcion-CuUnjieng recently shared exciting news on her Instagram with a beach photo. Yam and her non-showbiz husband Miguel CuUnjieng are expecting their first child. The announcement, filled with joy and anticipation, was made just four days after their wedding anniversary on July 25, which they celebrated in the Bahamas.

The couple's excitement for this new milestone was welcomed by many. Celebrities like Alex Gonzaga, Ria Atayde, and Small Laude were among the first to extend their heartfelt congratulations.
Sunshine Cruz, Iza Calzado, Dimples Romana, and Sue Ramirez also echoed their warm wishes for the soon-to-be parents, expressing their joy and excitement for Yam and Miguel.
Yam Concepcion and Miguel CuUnjieng's Relationship
Yam and Miguel’s love story is one that has stood the test of time and distance. The couple first met in 2012 and began a long-distance relationship in 2015. Like many couples, they faced their own relationship challenges. Yam revealed in an interview with PEP.ph in 2016 that their relationship had its ups and downs, with periods of being on and off.
Yet despite the challenges, their love has remained strong and they decided to take their relationship to the next level in 2018 when they got engaged. This led to their beautiful wedding in New York in 2021 during the pandemic.
The couple has been documenting their journey and life abroad on their YouTube channel, Yam Concepcion TV. While the actress has not confirmed whether her move overseas and settling down indicates a departure from showbiz, she expressed her desire to enjoy life in both the US and the Philippines in an ABS-CBN interview with showbiz reporter MJ Felipe.
"I've worked so hard for several years sa showbiz and I feel like this is my only time to actually just enjoy the city, [may] free time. But I intend to stay here and stay in Manila. Yeah, both places. Hindi yung parang dito lang ako. Ayokong ma-stuck up dito lang," she said.
