Engagement rings and proposals aren't just for women. That's what Zeinab Harake wanted to prove as she gifted her fiancé, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., another engagement ring almost two months after they first got engaged.
In a new vlog that Zeinab uploaded on September 23, Zeinab shared how she gave Ray a Cartier engagement ring. She revealed that she bought the ring in Nagoya, and it is also where she'll get "engaged again." Zeinab remarked, "May na-engage sa Pilipinas, may mae-engage sa Nagoya!" Some of Zeinab and Ray's siblings were with them during their trip to Japan.
As they were strolling along an esplanade in Nagoya, Zeinab put her plan into action. But it wasn't a real surprise. Ray knows that Zeinab bought something for him. Basically, Zeinab asked him his thoughts about having a simple engagement ring—which, of course, he did not mind.
So when Zeinab acted like ~proposing~ to Ray in Nagoya, the basketball athlete jokingly acted like he was surprised. But there were no questions asked, TBH. Zeinab just gave Ray the ring saying, "Hindi ko na siya tatanungin kasi siya 'yung nagtanong eh, pero it's a yes?" Ray affirmed, "It's a yes," while laughing at Zeinab's funny gesture.
Showing off the ring in the vlog, Zeinab mentioned that women can also gift their partners with expensive things and also engagement rings. "Simple lang 'yan pero punong-puno ng pagmamahal 'yan kasi gusto ko pati siya. Hindi naman dapat puro babae lang ang binibigyan, dapat tayo din sa ating mga minamahal," Zeinab said.
As for the price, Zeinab noted that it was way cheaper than what Ray has given her. "Barya lang po 'to, nahihiya ako eh, kasi hindi ganon ka-mahal 'yan eh. Pero 'yung meaning niyan sobrang mahal na mahal kita," she mentioned.

On July 8, 2024, Zeinab and Ray announced that they were finally engaged. The Filipina-Lebanese YouTube star said yes to Ray in a tear-jerking moment witnessed by their loved ones.
The vlog about their first engagement included clips of when Ray got the blessing of Zeinab's sister, Rana Harake, and also Zeinab's kids' approval of Ray to officially be their dad soon. Her kids, Luke and Bia, actually exclaimed during the proposal, "Mommy, please say yes!"

Zeinab and Ray went Instagram official in May 2023. Since then, they've been open about their relationship, showing snippets of how they are a budding happy, modern family as Ray welcomes Zeinab's kids with open arms. It actually went viral when Bia, Zeinab's youngest, started calling Ray, "Daddy". We can't wait to see more of the happy family and of course, Zeinab and Ray's wedding!
