Nobody knows the art of discipline more than Agatha Wong. It's what she credits for her success in Wushu—and part of that involves training every day. Even while she's at home, Agatha makes sure to put in the work. Lucky for us, her go-to exercises are now on Instagram:
This 20-minute upper body workout routine focuses on the arms and the abs. And you won't even need a lot of equipment, just the following:
- exercise mat
- jump rope
- dumbbells (2.5 or 5 pounds)
The routine starts with one to two minutes of jump rope followed by:
- 50 hip twist jumps
- 100 weighted punches (with the dumbbells)
- 20 weighted crunches
- 50 weighted Russian twists
- 50 heel-to-butt steps (running in place)
- 20 tricep dips
- 20 tricep kickbacks
- 20 crunch flys
- 20 windshield wipers
- 20 reverse flys
Ending one set with another one to two minutes of jump rope. Agatha does three sets in total. And honestly, no one can say this isn't effective, so give it a try! The athlete ended her workout with a message of support for our frontliners: "The enemy is the virus, never the people. #HelpOurFrontliners #FightCovidPH"
