Ever since the pandemic, it seems as if there's been a spike in the general public's interest in exercising. Looking back at that turbulent time, home workouts that could be followed on YouTube (like the infamous Chloe Ting ab shredder workouts) were among the things people did to keep busy and active during the lockdown. But, there are those of us *raises my hand shyly* who don't fare too well with high-intensity workouts and are able to follow low-impact routines better. Enter yoga.
The practice has been around for years, but as of late, has gained more popularity than ever. More people are now looking for routines they could easily follow, that's also sustainable enough so they could do on the daily with no hassle. And yoga seems to be a good answer for many.

Because of the demand, more yoga studios have been opening up around the Metro. Among them is Vida Yoga, who just celebrated their first anniversary. They currently have two branches: one at the ground floor of The Plaza in Arya Residences, BGC and another at Commerce Center level 2 in Alabang.

Vida Yoga has the hottest classes in town—and we mean that literally!
Yoga studios are everywhere these days but what sets Vida Yoga apart are their classes. They offer hot practices and we mean this in the most literal sense! They have hot yoga that boasts a few benefits which include: help in flexibility, build bone density, cardio boost, provide nourishment to the skin, burn more calories in the span of a class, help regulate blood glucose, reduce stress, and improve muscle toning. Here are some classes you can try if those benefits interest you:
Inferno Hot Pilates
Inferno Hot Pilates is open to both beginners and longtimers! This practice features low-impact moves interloped with high-intensity training that is grounded in Pilates principles. In their Instagram they wrote, "Gentle on your joints but tough where it counts, this class activates your core, glutes, and pelvic floor with every move." So it's perfect for those who don't have the strongest joints (again, me).

Hot 26
Hot 26 is a yoga class yoginis practice in Vida Yoga's infrared-heated room. The practice lasts for 75 minutes and makes use of a combination of 26 dynamic yoga poses. According to their website, with the addition of the heat, Hot 26 is meant to detoxify and deepen flexibility while sweating. This practice is also meant to help improve strength and inner balance.
Hot Vinyasa
While Hot Vinyasa is a class also set in Vida Yoga's infrared-heated room, unlike Hot 26, this only lasts for an hour. With the addition of heat to flowing Vinyasa movements, according to their website, Hot Vinyasa targets strength building, flexibility increase, and finding balance. It has a heat and sweat level of three!
Hot Express
Hot Express is another 60-minute class. Like Hot 26, it features 26 favorite poses. As the name entails, the session has been designed to maximize efficiency. In Hot Express, each pose is only performed once. Their website says this method is made to strengthen, stretch, and invigorate the student's body.
Hot Flow 26
Hot Flow 26 is the integration of Hot 26 and Hot Vinyasa. Their website says this combines the precision and structure Hot 26 offers to the dynamic and fluid movements of Vinyasa. It is lso practiced in the infrared-heated room, really like Hot 26 and Hot Vinyasa. This class is made to help enhance physical and mental strength and flexibility.
Hot Power Yoga
Hot Power Yoga is really what it sounds to be like. It is a class that features the combination of the intensity of Hot Yoga and fitness-focused elements of Power Yoga. It's practiced in a heated room and as written in their website, is meant to help loosen muscles and really encourage sweating. The sequence also boasts a mix of vinyasa flows with the breath and elemets of Ashtanga yoga. Hot Power Yoga is a class that is meant to strengthen the body, increase flexibility, and boost endurance with a heat and sweat level of one!
Hot Yin
The Hot Yin class features a heat and sweat level of two. This class combines the gentleness and long-held stretches of Yin Yoga and the heat's therapeutic benefits. While this unique and transformative fusion helps in releasing tension and increasing flexibility, it also offers relaxation and tranquility. So if you prefer a slower burn, this may be for you!
Don't worry though, if you're not interested in their hot classes, they also have warm, non-hot, and even healing class options you can check out instead! If you're more experienced with yoga and want to try a masterclass, they also have a masterclass series you can opt for, too.
Family Form, the only heated sculpt in the Philippines
Heated Sculpt
Another (literally) hot class they have is the Heated Sculpt, which is an "infrared heated, full-body sculpting exercise" that runs for 55 minutes. You can opt to use hand and ankle weights. But don't let that intimidate you, because this program welcomes both beginners and more experienced yoginis! This practice comes straight from Hong Kong and New York and is exclusively available at Vida Yoga in the Philippines.
