Whether you admit it or not, Korean dramas give us a lot of happiness in our daily lives. We're still just as addicted to watching K-dramas across different streaming platforms (at least in my case.)

LOOK: 8 Ultimate Favorite K-Drama Couples Of 2023
(Note: This is in no particular order, chingus!)
1. Castaway Diva's MokGeolli
ICYDK, Extraordinary Attorney Woo star Park Eun Bin starred in another incredible K-drama this year and it's on Netflix! The drama Castaway Diva tells the story of Seo Mokha (Eun Bin) who managed to survive alone on an island for 15 years and pursued her dream to be a singer after she was rescued from the island. Mokha's love interest in this drama is Kang Bogeol (also known as Jung Kiho), portrayed by Chae Jong Hyeop.
Their couple name is a portmanteau (a word that combines the meanings of two others) of their characters' names, Mokha and Bogeol, hence MokGeolli. It's not the first time that Eun Bin and Jong Hyeop have worked together since they were co-stars in another drama called Hot Stove League. But it was the first time that they've acted as romantic partners in a drama—and they nailed it!

Fans were ultimately swayed by their efficient eye-acting, especially Jong Hyeop's whenever he looked at Eun Bin! Their love story made the drama more enticing and fun to watch. Too bad that it only ran for 12 episodes; we want more of our MokGeolli couple!
(P.S. You might also want to check out Castaway Diva's original soundtrack or OST because most were sung by Eun Bin herself! Yes, Eun Bin is such a good singer, you guys!)

2. Dr. Romantic's Reset Couple
The hit K-drama Dr. Romantic came back for its third season this 2023 and the Reset Couple won our hearts once again! Portrayed by stars Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung, the two tried their best to make their relationship work—even with the disapproval of Sung Kyung's father in the series.

Hyo Seop and Sung Kyung gave us all the heart-fluttering scenes we need from them as a couple—and the two eventually (spoiler alert!) live together! Did marriage already take place between the Reset Couple? You'll have to watch it on Disney+!

3. My Lovely Liar's DoSol
Hwang Min Hyun and Kim So Hyun surprised everyone with the undeniable chemistry they served in their fantasy romance drama, My Lovely Liar.
In the drama, So Hyun plays the character Mok Sol Hee, who has a special power where she can determine lies just by hearing it from a person. She meets an extremely honest individual named Kim Do Ha (Min Hyun). Later on, they grew closer as apartment neighbors and as soccer fans.

By the way, their couple name is again a combination of their names Sol Hee and Do Ha, so you get DoSol. You can watch them on Viu!
Here's My Lovely Liar's trailer:
4. Doona!'s Power Couple
We may never say it, but we *love* slow-burn romances just like Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong's in Netflix's Doona! Suzy plays the character of a worn-out idol named Lee Doona, who strikingly falls in love with a normal college boy, Lee Wonjun (Se Jong).

The drama was indeed slow-paced, and there were a lot of times when we just wanted to skip to the good part. However, patience is indeed a virtue. And Doona! rewards everyone who patiently watched the entire drama and made it to the part when Doona and Wonjun expressed their intense love for each other.
We can't get enough of how much Suzy and Se Jong beautifully portrayed the characters from the very first episode. They left us with such intense gazes and remarkable lines that we'll remember forever.

5. King The Land's GuRang
King The Land revived the K-drama romcom world this year and no one can say otherwise. It has given us all the feel-good moments we truly desire in a lighthearted romantic comedy, and it's all thanks to Lee Junho and YoonA.
Junho plays the character Gu Won, an eccentric CEO who falls in love with one of his employees named Cheon Sarang (YoonA). Gu Won + Sarang, hence GuRang couple. They both gave us the perfect chemistry, the perfect kissing scenes, and an excessive amount of romance and *kilig*! So much so that fans started shipping the two actors IRL and got dating rumors circulating, which they've since denied.

Junho and YoonA are both idols-turned-actors and have a really solid connection, even before they were cast in the drama. It certainly shows in their chemistry! We were rooting for GuRang all the way. Who's with us? Watch King The Land on Netflix and you'll get it!

6. The Story Of Park's Marriage Contract's ParkHa
Are you up for a time travel drama with a twist? You should try watching Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk's chaotic yet thousands-year-old romance in The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.
In the drama, Se Young acts as a maiden from the old Joseon era, Park Yeon Woo, who mysteriously travels to the modern world, a.k.a the year 2023. She meets various individuals who resemble her acquaintances in the Joseon era, including her dead husband, Kang Tae Ha (In Hyuk).

Together they try to discover Yeon Woo's story and true love, as they face different challenges in the modern world (plus, a disease that seems to kill Tae Ha in any of his reincarnations). A lot goes on in the drama, but we assure you that it's worth it to witness Se Young and In Hyuk act as star-crossed lovers!
They offer viewers the most petty lovers' quarrels, yet also the most enticing push-and-pull of emotions. And since there's time-traveling involved, will Yeon Woo travel back in time and leave behind modern Tae Ha? You'll have to watch it on Viu to find out. What we're sure of is that it's a romcom with a twist!

7. My Demon's DoWon
First of all, you have to know that Song Kang topped the most buzzworthy actor list and Kim Yoo Jung placed second during the run of their fantasy romance drama My Demon. More importantly, the drama ranked first in the Good Data Corporation's weekly list of TV dramas that were most talked about by netizens, as reported by Soompi.
Now, the next thing you need to know is that this drama involves the contract marriage trope that we all adore. Kang plays a 200-year-old demon named Jeong Gu Won who gets entangled with the chic CEO Do Do Hee's problems. Guwon's powers magically transferred to Do Hee and that completely puzzled him.

The first half of the drama includes comedic acts from the whole cast, a slow and intimate romance build-up between Dohee and Guwon a.k.a DoWon couple, and a compelling story behind their characters and love story. Not to mention that Kang and Yoo Jung have been serving us nothing but a visual feast with their striking beauty and showstopping outfits!
You all have to watch it on Netflix, so you can witness how extremely good Kang and Yoo Jung are in a romcom drama. No one saw their romcom powers coming, and we were all defeated by it. We can't get over it. Ever.

8. Moving's Tonkatsu Couple
Disney+'s Moving isn't a romcom. It's a fantasy drama that has action-packed scenes. But as a Moving fan, we can't look past Jo In Sung and Han Hyo Joo's ~*serious*~ romantic chemistry shown in the drama.
To give you a brief background, In Sung and Hyo Joo were secret agents with superhuman powers in the series. Playing Kim Doo Shik and Lee Mi Hyun, respectively, at first they appear to be rivals, but later on they find themselves slowly falling for each other.
Why Tonkatsu Couple? Well, the pork dish plays a vital role in their relationship—they get to know each other better while eating tonkatsu for dinner several times. Mi Hyun will also put up a tonkatsu business sometime in the drama.

The two will face a lot of troubles along the way and will be separated. As someone who watched it till the end, Mi Hyun and Doo Shik's reunion was one of the reasons why I finished Moving. Their scenes together were something to look forward to. Their romance was something to live by.

Make sure to binge-watch all of the mentioned K-dramas above if you're in the mood to feel kilig! *winks*
