If Hollywood has the Oscars, South Korea has the Baeksang Arts Awards. Baeksang Arts Awards is not just an annual awards show, but an event that celebrates and recognizes the cream of the crop in every category in the entertainment industry. These categories range from Korean dramas, Korean movies, Korean variety shows, Korean performances, and even Korean plays.
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards was held on May 7, 2024. We've tuned in to the prestigious event not only to witness our favorite actors and actresses bag their well-deserved awards but also to see the most memorable moments in Korean entertainment—from the funniest to the most heartwarming ones.

All The Best Moments During The Baeksang Arts Awards 2024
1. Bae Suzy's head-turner red carpet look
She swooned us all. over. again. Bae Suzy never misses! In her ninth consecutive year of being the host of the Baeksang Arts Awards, Suzy wore a *coquette-inspired* Oscar de la Renta fuschia pink trumpet gown. She looked cute and sexy at the same time!
Suzy hosted the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards with two other staple hosts, Shin Dong Hyup and her Wonderland leading man Park Bo Gum.
2. Lee Do Hyun in a military outfit!
Lee Do Hyun, who recently entered the military for his mandatory enlistment, was allowed to attend the Baeksang Arts Awards 2024. He got his first recognition during the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards as the Best New Actor Award for Drama. This year, he was named the Best New Actor Award for Film. He recently starred in the blockbuster film, Exhuma, together with Kim Go Eun.
He walked the red carpet and accepted his award in a military outfit. Lee Do Hyun even thanked his girlfriend The Glory actress, Lim Ji Yeon during his acceptance speech. So sweet!
The two were even spotted interacting with each other ~professionally~! We can't wait for them to celebrate their wins.
3. Kim Soo Hyun's cutest aegyo
After three years, Kim Soo Hyun is back at the Baeksang Arts Awards. This is the first time the Queen of Tears actor attended the prestigious award after his mandatory military enlistment.
As soon as he was back, he swept everyone off their feet with his cuteness! During the ceremony, he was asked to act cute in front of the camera, a.k.a to do an aegyo. The actor was game to do it in front of thousands of viewers. He did his iconic crying aegyo in the Queen of Tears drama.
4. Namgoong Min's highly anticipated Best Actor win
Actor Namgoong Min made history with his much-awaited success as he bagged the Best Actor for Drama award. He has been nominated in the Best Actor category since 2016—he's finally given the recognition he deserves.
He was first nominated in 2016 for his role in the drama Remember: War of the Son. The year after, another nomination landed in front of Min for the drama, Good Manager. In 2020, the hit drama Hot Stove League also brought him a nomination.
His stellar performance as Lee Jang Hyeon in the historical drama My Dearest wowed critics and generated buzz not just within the Baeksang panel but among all their viewers. Namgoong Min went up the Baeksang stage and gave the most heartfelt acceptance speech.
5. Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si's reunion
Fans (including us) went crazy over a photo of Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si! The two starred as romantic leads in the phenomenal K-drama, Youth of May. They also portrayed the role of our favorite brother-sister tandem in Netflix's Sweet Home.
Through the years, we have followed their friendship, so seeing their interaction after so many years brings happiness! Min Si's manager uploaded their photo via Instagram. Our MyungheeTae~!
6. Go Yoon Jung's cute snack moment
Go Yoon Jung, nominated for Best New Actress for her role in Moving, received praise for her beauty during the event. She was also captured low-key enjoying a little snack moment.
Although Go Yoon Jung didn't get an award this year, she enjoyed Baeksang and was happy for her colleagues! Her drama, Moving, won daesang, while her co-star Lee Jung Ha won Best New Actor.
7. Kim Ji Won's cameo at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2024.
Even though Queen of Tears actress Kim Ji Won was not present at the event, she *technically* made a cameo. During an intermission number, a clip of Ji Won's past Baeksang attendance flashed on the screen along with videos of her past leading men.
The segment was confusing at first, but the audience enjoyed it. It's as if Park Seo Joon and Son Suk Ku attended the event too. (ICYDK, Park Seo Joon was Ji Won's leading man in the drama, Fight For My Way. While Son Suk Ku was the guy who "worshipped" her in My Liberation Notes.)
And of course, Kim Soo Hyun was also shown onscreen. He's Ji Won's most recent co-actor in the hit K-drama, Queen of Tears.
8. Daesang awardee Park Eun Bin's ethereal appearance
Park Eun Bin who won Daesang (grand prize) last year for her performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, graced the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards to present this year's Daesang. She looked stunning in her Ellie Saab midi dress!
9. Song Hye Kyo's goddess-like beauty.
Song Hye Kyo has always been a goddess in our eyes. She donned a soft pink off-shoulder dress, which complemented her feminine and ethereal beauty. She won the Best Actress award in 2023 for her remarkable role in the revenge K-drama The Glory. This year, she presented the award to her successor, Honey Lee (Knight Flower).
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards was also the first event that Hye Kyo and her ex-husband Song Joong Ki were spotted simultaneously attending for the first time. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the film Hopeless.
