What's the plot of Dr. Romantic?
Dr. Romantic is a medical K-drama that revolves around a skilled surgeon named Kim Sa Bu (Han Suk Kyu). He used to work at a well-known hospital in Seoul but after a traumatic experience, he transferred to a small hospital called Doldam where he changed his identity. Kim Sa Bu's new workplace may be shabby and lacks the needed medical tools, but his staff are the most skilled nurses and doctors you'll ever meet. Not only that, they're also patient-centered and are not after money and power thanks to the impactful mentoring of Kim Sa Bu. Because of Dr. Romantic, we learned to value those who work in this field and discovered medical terms as well (like susul or surgery).
The first and second season was such a hit among viewers, reaching 29% as its highest rating in South Korea! It was loved mostly because of its well-written and realistic plot as it showed real-life medical cases.
