One of the most highly-anticipated K-dramas of the year is soon to drop, and we're counting down the days until then. Gyeongseong Creature stars Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, and Wi Ha Joon, and was written by Dr. Romantic screenwriter Kang Eun Kyung. Set in early 1945 when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule, the historical mystery series follows the lives of two young adults battling for survival in Gyeongseong (a former name of Seoul). However they need to be constantly on guard, for there is something lurking in the darkness—a danger that can be traced directly to Ongseong Hospital.
(Not-so) fun fact: So Hee apparently received a facial injury near her eyes while filming the drama, which means the action scenes must be *intense*
Here are the Gyeongseong Creature cast members and their past projects:
1. Park Seo Joon as Jang Tae Sang
As the master of House of Golden Treasure, Gyeongseong's biggest pawn shop, Jang Tae Sang is the wealthiest man in the city. While Tae Sang is someone who values money above everything else, he soon changes his mind after crossing paths with Yoon Chae Ok while investigating a series of missing person cases.
Known for his roles in K-dramas She Was Pretty, Fight For My Way, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?, Itaewon Class, and his recent appearance in The Marvels, Park Seo Joon is also a variety show fave, having appeared in In The SOOP: Friendcation alongside fellow "Wooga Squad" members Choi Woo Shik, Park Hyung Sik, BTS' V, and Peakboy.

2. Han So Hee as Yoon Chae Ok
If you need help in finding a missing person—even a dead one—then famed detective Yoon Chae Ok is the go-to person for the job. The sleuth possesses a sharp eye and survival skills honed from her rough childhood roaming across Manchuria and Shanghai with her father.
Having starred in the action-packed My Name, Han So Hee is no stranger to fight scenes—she gained 10kg of muscle to better portray Yoon Ji Woo! The actress has also captivated viewers with her roles in A World Of Married Couple and Nevertheless.

3. Wi Ha Joon as Gwon Jun Taek
According to Soompi, Wi Ha Joon will play the role of Gwon Jun Taek, Jang Tae Sang's best friend who was born rich "but feels hostility toward his pro-Japanese family." He'll eventually get involved in the duo's risky plan to search for and rescue missing persons.
You're probably very familiar with seeing Wi Ha Joon on screen, thanks to his notable roles in Squid Game, Romance Is A Bonus Book, 18 Again, and Little Women. He also held a fan meet in Manila last May 2023!

Also part of the cast are Claudia Kim (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kim Hae Sook (Start-Up), and Cho Han Cheul (Vicenzo). Claudia will reportedly portray Maeda, the wife of a powerful official in Gyeongseong city. Meanwhile, veteran actors Hae Sook and Han Cheul were listed to play characters Nawol Daek and Yoon Joong Won respectively.
