In case you haven't heard, our fave leading lady from the hit *Koreanovela* My Girl, Lee Da Hae, will be getting *married* to K-pop star SE7EN in May this year! The two have been together for more than eight years.
instagram/se7enofficialWhile Da Hae and SE7EN will be getting their ~fairytale ending~, the couple didn't exactly have a *smooth* start to their relationship. In fact, the actress revealed that she used to avoid the K-pop star because of his 2013 scandal.
"We’ve always known each other, but we weren’t close or in contact with each other. After he enlisted in the army, a common acquaintance called me one night saying he was drinking with Se7en and asked if I wanted to come," Da Hae shares in a 2017 interview.
“Back then I thought, ‘Se7en’? Drink with him?’ At that time, I saw Se7en from the same perspective as the public. It wasn’t a good image."
ICYDK, SE7EN was caught in a 2013 controversy where he was rumored to have snuck out of his base camp to visit an "adult massage parlor" during his mandatory military training.
"Thinking that way despite being a celebrity myself was unfair of me. I get upset when the public sees me that way, but in that situation I thought of him as the public did. That’s why I didn’t go meet them," the actress added.
However, SE7EN and Da Hae eventually decided to meet up and it was the beginning of something *beautiful.* "I keep thinking that if I didn’t show up then, it would’ve been the biggest regret of my life," she says.
