Lee Jae Wook is under the spotlight these days, not just because of his personal life, but more importantly, because of his booming career as an actor.

Fresh from buzzworthy Korean dramas like Alchemy Of Souls and Death's Game, the 26-year-old is coming back with another action-packed series. He will be leading Disney+'s K-drama The Impossible Heir alongside Lee Jun Young and Hong Su Zu. Aside from its cast, let's take a look at more reasons why the drama is worth our weekly binge!

Everything You Need To Know About The Impossible Heir Starring Lee Jae Wook, Lee Jun Young, and Hong Su Zu:

1. The plot is addicting.

First of all, The Impossible Heir has a very interesting plot. The series is filled with elements of desperation, deception, restraint, and even romance. Three individuals form an unlikely alliance in a bid to topple South Korea's largest conglomerate.

These individuals are Han Tae Oh (Lee Jae Wook), Kang In Ha (Lee Jun Young), and Na Hye Won (Hong Su Zu). They all have their own motivations on joining forces in what seems to be an absurd and unachievable plan. The three of them show how far they will go for the sake of their goals.

With the first two episodes out, everyone's curious how the cast will keep up with their plans until the end. Will Na Hye Won hold back Tae Oh and In Ha's goals? Will Tae Oh and In Ha remain friends after everything? And who are the lifeless bodies spotted in front of Tae Oh at the very start of the series?

2. Lee Jae Wook is a murderer's son in The Impossible Heir.

Admit it or not, Lee Jae Wook first got us swooning with the nonchalant yet loving Baek Kyung in Extraordinary You, which also starred Rowoon and Kim Hye Yoon. But the drama that massively contributed to his fame and career was Alchemy of Souls, which had two seasons! In the aforementioned dramas, Jae Wook portrayed the persona of a ~lover boy.~

In The Impossible Heir, he portrays a cold and determined Han Tae Oh, who has been living a difficult life because of his non-biological father. He's part of the 0.01% intelligent people in the country, a.k.a he's a genius. Unfortunately, he grew up in a family where his father physically abused his mother.

One day, his father was imprisoned for murdering Tae Oh's mother. But his father comes back to haunt him, despite running away from his shadow for years. He grows up desperate to change his life for the better.

With his intelligence and desperation, Tae Oh forms a close bond with In Ha, who is the illegitimate son of a chaebol. However, if you're thinking now that Tae Oh will fall under In Ha's economic superiority, think again.

In one of the drama's main posters, a quote from Tae Oh reads, "I'll raise my owner to be my dog." Tae Oh is be responsible for all the strategies and tactics that In Ha needs to be able to take over his family's company, Kangoh Group.

3. Lee Jun Young struggles to become an heir.

You might have watched Lee Jun Young as the sweet yet feisty guy in Badland Hunters, or the officemate with the timid yet thrilling personality in Love and Leashes.

But in The Impossible Heir, Jun Young gives life to the ambitious and headstrong Kang In Ha. In Ha emerges as the shame of their chaebol or rich family, because he is his father's illegitimate child. Growing up, there was no chance for him to even call out to his father publicly without fear or judgment.

The first two episodes showed In Ha's unwavering affection and longing for his family, especially his father. In Ha and Tae Oh first met as high school enemies. In Ha eventually befriends Tae Oh because he probably sees similarities between Tae Oh (who is a murderer's son) and himself—they are both shunned by society.

Together they plan to make In Ha eligible to become his father's heir. Slowly but surely, they make their way up to the top.

4. Hong Su Zu is a child burdened by her mother's gambling.

The Impossible Heir is the first drama where Hong Su Zu plays a main role. ICYDK, the actress starred in EXO's Chanyeol's music video for his single, "SSFW." Su Zu also starred as Jin Ah in Sweet Home 2. She was one of the citizens of the new underground hideout where Go Min Si's character lives. (In fact, they had a scene together!)

She will be Na Hye Won in The Impossible Heir. Hye Won is brave and appears to be an unbothered kind of woman. She will be In Ha's love interest, however she'll also be keeping her eyes on Tae Oh.

Amid everything, Hye Won is an intelligent girl who's tired of being threatened to pay back her mother's debt. Loan sharks are always at her back, waiting for her to pay up. But she remains indignant about her mother's gambling, and refuses to follow their demands.

As she gets to know Tae Oh and In Ha, she's motivated by the thought of leaving her pathetic life behind, constantly running away from loan sharks—and making a more dignified future for herself. However, her existence appears to pose a threat to Tae Oh and In Ha's friendship and plans.

5. The cast's chemistry is astounding.

There's something about the three actors that just screams *chemistry!* Fans are already feeling ~romantic~ vibes between Jun Young and Su Zu's characters. After the first two episodes, fans are also raving about the love triangle. And as of the moment, we honestly can't tell if we're loving the love triangle trope.

Nonetheless, Jae Wook, Jun Young, and Su Zu's characters still look like an amazing group of desperate people longing to reach the top of the food chain. In one of the show's trailers, Hye Won is heard declaring the words, "No matter what happens, I'm going to do the things I said I would do." (As translated by Soompi) This, as their plan somehow takes a different and violent path.

Despite it all, the three of them manifest extreme determination towards their goal—and of course, we'll have to watch until the end to find out if they accomplish what they're aiming for.
