We already know what you're thinking. It's time to malfunction again because Lee Min Ho is back with a new K-Drama. The South Korean actor, most known for his work in some of the most popular K-Drama shows such as The Legend of the Blue Sea and earlier, The Heirs and Boys Over Flowers as the Gu Jun-pyo, has a new drama up his sleeve. The twist? The 34-year-old is not gonna be a chaebol in this one and it's already sent the Internet in a doozy. ICYDK, a chaebol in K-dramas is a character who comes from a rich business family.
Lee Min Ho in When The Stars Gossip
Yes, you read that right. Lee Min Ho is not a chaebol in the new tvN drama. When The Stars Gossip follows the story of Gong Ryong, an OB-GYN struggling to pay off his student debt. He somehow finds himself in a situation where he is abducted by his fiancée's (portrayed by Han Ji-Eun) father.

He then sets out on a quest with zero-gravity space station commander Eve Kim, portrayed by Gong Hyo Jin. You might have seen her in the 2019 drama When The Camellia Blooms with Squid Game Season 2 actor Kang Ha Neul. The trailer shows the two initially seeming to butt heads when they embark on their journey together—especially as Commander Eve Kim sees Gong Ryong as a nuisance to her first mission. Later on, the trailer reveals they find common ground despite being in outer space.
Other cast members include It's Okay To Not Be Okay's Oh Jung Se and Kim Joo Hun, who was also seen in Start-Up.

When The Stars Gossip is a monumental project because it is South Korea's first-ever space office drama. At the same time, the show sees the reunion of celebrated director Park Shin Woo and writer Seo Sook Hyang. Coincidentally, it's also creating buzz because this is among the few times audiences will see Lee Min Ho portray a working-class character.
The Internet's reaction to Lee Min Ho in When The Stars Gossip
Since Lee Min Ho is known to portray rich characters, many Internet users have a running joke that if the actor sees that he is not a chaebol in the script, he declines the drama (LOL). But, When The Stars Gossip actually proved otherwise and showed that he can stray from his typecast.
