On Tuesday, February 6, Lee Seung Gi's agency Human Made shared the happy news—the couple are now proud parents to a baby girl! Here's the official statement, as translated by Soompi:
"We are delivering the happy news that the Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In couple gave birth to a daughter on the afternoon of February 5."
"Both the mother and child are in good health, and Lee Seung Gi conveyed the news that he is grateful and happy that a precious life was born safely," the statement continued. "Please send warm love and support to the Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In couple who welcomed a new family member."
After they went public with their relationship in May 2021, Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In had to deal with the initial backlash. From denying breakup and premarital pregnancy rumors, the actor also went on record to defend his marriage. On April 12, 2023, Seung Gi took to Instagram to upload a two-post lengthy statement. "I felt frustrated. My wife did not choose her parents…so how can I say we should break up because of her parents' issues?"
