From reels to real life! Yes, it's another K-drama couple who turned their on-cam relationship to an off-cam one. Two stars from hit drama Marry My Husband have publicly announced their upcoming marriage this year.
Celebrity couple Gong Min Jung and Jang Jae Ho both starred in Marry My Husband as friends of the drama's leads, portrayed by Park Min Young and Na In Woo. South Korean media outlet News1 exclusively reported about Min Jung's marriage confirmation.
Published on August 16, News1 reported that the Marry My Husband actress disclosed her wedding plans with Jae Ho through a phone call.
She reportedly shared that they will be having a private wedding ceremony in September 2024. "We will be holding a private wedding with only our close friends and family," Min Jung revealed. The actress also affirmed that she plans to keep her wedding really quiet, instead of having a grand celebration.
Although Marry My Husband only aired this January 2024, its filming occurred almost a year ago. It was when the two reportedly developed their romantic feelings for each other. Min Jung noted in her phone call with News1, that she and Jae Ho have known each other even before filming the show. "I was close (with Jang Jae-ho) even before working on the drama," she expressed.
The K-celeb couple also posted on their respective Instagram accounts heartfelt messages for their supporters. As translated, a part of Min Jung's post read, "He [Jang Jae Ho] is the person who has made me believe that I want to move forward in life together rather than alone, and now we are getting married. These days, there are significant changes in my life, and a warm-hearted message from you would mean a lot and be a great source of strength for me in this new beginning."
The same goes for Jae Ho, who also posted a sweet photo of himself and Min Jung. It came with the most endearing caption saying, "In September, I will be spending my life with someone I love dearly. This person is someone I respect both personally and as an actor, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have them." We're sending our well wishes to the couple!

ICYDK, Marry My Husband is one of the headliners of the South Korean entertainment channel, tvN. Marry My Husband is a drama adaptation of a webtoon of the same title. The webtoon, which was written by author Sungjosak, was released in 2022.
It's about a 37-year-old woman named Kang Ji Won, who found out that her husband was cheating on her while she was battling cancer. She mysteriously goes back in time to a period ten years earlier in her life and decides to seek revenge against her husband and his mistress.
The drama hooked viewers because of its well-rounded cast and the intense plot, which had everyone rooting for Kang Ji Won's success in getting revenge against her cheating ex-partner.
