3. Park Min Young underwent a significant weight loss for the drama.

Min Young worked to physically transform herself, and dropped her weight to 37 kilograms in order to accurately portray Ji Won's role (as someone who battled cancer). The actress expressed her thoughts on the dramatic change in her weight, saying that it was her way of properly portraying not just her characters' physical appearance—but also the emotional pain that she had to endure.

As translated by Soompi, she stated, "I tried to lose weight not just for the sake of being thin, but to express Kang Ji Won’s profound pain as much as I could."

Aside from her drastic weight loss, Min Young also cut her hair short for the drama. ICYDK, in many of her previous works the actress had been sporting long hairstyles. Min Young explained that the haircut was also to further cement the difference between the past and the present Ji Won in the drama. "Even when doing the same job, the Park Ji Won of the past and the Park Ji Won of the present have different purposes and different auras," she noted.
