Okay, folks, it's officially 2025 but it seems that we just can't move on from the K-dramas that had us swooning in 2024. Case in point: Queen of Tears.
ICYDK, the rom-com K-drama logged the highest ratings in tvN history last year. Recently, tvN also announced that Queen of Tears ranked as the Best Drama according to their viewers. With the good news coming in, tvN announced that there will be a special broadcast dedicated to the drama.

Will there be a special new episode for Queen of Tears?
While fans are brimming with excitement (take note: it's been almost a year since its first episode too!), we tried to look into the details of the so-called special broadcast. At first, it looks like a new special episode, however, it might be just be a compilation of scenes—as suggested by Instagram's auto-translate feature (srsly!). Fans have noted the term "compilation" and have kept their expectations at bay.
Details like when and where it will be released are yet to be announced by tvN. So, who knows, we still have that chance to have a glimpse on some never-before-seen scenes from the popular K-drama.
Nonetheless, Queen of Tears actually had its first set of special episodes last May 4 and 5, 2024, titled, Queen of Tears: Miraculous Record-zip.
Since the drama ended, it has garnered back-to-back awards for its production team and also for its cast, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won. Soo Hyun for one bagged a popularity award for his portrayal in the drama at the 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards, as soon as the drama ended.
At the recent, Asia Artist Awards 2024, Soo Hyun also won daesang and even dedicated the award to Kim Ji Won who acted alongside him for his role as Baek Hyun Woo. "I want to return this honor to Kim Ji-won who has acted as the best Hong Hae-in in the world," Soo Hyun noted during his acceptance speech.
