It’s no secret that Netflix’s Song Hye Kyo-led drama The Glory is one of the most-talked-about shows on the internet RN, and it’s definitely because of the show’s ~thrilling~ plot and stellar roster of actors. While viewers may have found it easy to embrace both the drama’s protagonist and villains, portraying characters with such heavy backstories and personalities wasn’t a walk in the park for the actors.
Case in point: Shin Ye Eun, who played the teenage bully Park Yeon Jin in the revenge series, says she had *nightmares* while filming the drama.
“I am aware that it was all acting and fictional, but from time to time, I came out of the character while filming,” she reveals, narrating an incident where she had to film a scene *torturing* a schoolmate with a hot curling iron.
"I knew the hair iron was cold, but seeing my opposite crying in pain made me think 'What am I doing now?' and that's when I made a blooper. […] After filming, I went home, and I had nightmares. I could not sleep without earplugs because I was so disturbed due to the dark character."
The Glory/NetflixAside from experiencing nightmares because of her character, the actress also revealed that she *lost* some fans after appearing in the drama.
“After appearing on The Glory, my SNS (social networking service) followers actually decreased,” she says in an interview. “I received unexpected and extreme messages, which led to a decrease in my SNS followers.”
