Korean actor Yoo Ah In is currently under police investigation due to alleged use of propofol, an illegal anesthetic in South Korea.
As reported by The Korea Herald, the 36-year-old was questioned by the Seoul Metropolitan Police earlier this week as there were reports that "he was habitually prescribed propofol through repeat visits to several hospitals." It was also said that they requested his body hair for further evaluation and that he's on an overseas travel ban.

Propofol is commonly used for surgeries since it induces sleep. Using it illegally can lead to 10 years of imprisonment or a fine worth 100 million won (around P4.4 million).
On February 8, Ah In's label, United Artists Agency (UAA), confirmed that the actor is under probe. Read their full statement here:

Recently, Yoo Ah In underwent a police investigation pertaining to propofol. He is actively cooperating in all investigations regarding this and we plan to proactively address the aspects that are a problem.
