ICYMI, the members of 2NE1 got together to celebrate their 15th anniversary! On Friday, May 17, CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy all took to Instagram to share pics from what looks to be a commemorative photoshoot. All four girls penned sweet messages to BLACKJACKs (their fans), thanking them for the love and support they've been shown for nearly two decades.

Leader CL wrote a lengthy caption in both Korean and English. "2NE1 has always been my house that made me feel the freedom to love, to play, to express , to create , to shine , to mix, to connect and share with people. Hope today 2NE1 reminds you to feel your light ::) Thank you alwayz [cherry emoji NOLZA."
Fans will recognize the cherry emoji as being symbolic to CL: "'Cherry' has always been my nickname because of my Korean name [Chae-rin]," she said in a Billboard interview. Meanwhile, NOLZA has always been the group's catchphrase: "Let's play!"

2NE1 Reunions Post-Disbandment
On November 25, 2016, YG Entertainment broke hearts all around the world by announcing that the members of their legendary K-pop girl group would be going separate ways. In December 2021, CL emotionally shared in an AP Entertainment interview that like Minzy, she learned about their disbandment through the media.
Although CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy have parted ways as a group and are now successful solo artists, their friendship has gone from strength to strength. In fact, they've surprised fans by sharing pics whenever they have time to meet up, like their OT4 reunion in March 2022!
They also made history by reuniting onstage at Coachella 2022, surprising many as only CL was part of the music festival lineup. "The reason why I decided to invite the members after I was invited to perform at Coachella is because I wanted to see us reunite on our terms before it's too late. Through this performance, I wanted to relay my gratefulness to everyone who has been supporting and loving 2NE1 for the past 12 years," CL shared.
She added, "Thanks to today's moment, I hope you could relive the past emotions that you felt through us. I want to express my thanks to the members who dazzled on stage today and to everyone who worked together to make this come true. I will continue until the day we could perform a full hour on this stage."
