On Tuesday, December 5, BIGHIT MUSIC released an official notice on Weverse detailing the military enlistment plans of BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.:
"Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. Thank you for your continued love and support for BTS. We would like to update you on RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook’s upcoming enlistment into the military.
RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook will fulfill their required time with the military by enlisting in the army. RM and V will be enlisting according to their respective procedures, while Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to enlist together. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of their entry.
The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only.
We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages that illegally use the artist’s IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP.
We ask for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook until they complete their military service and return. Our company will also strive to provide all the support they need during this time. Thank you."

ICYMI, BIGHIT MUSIC released a statement regarding the military enlistment process for the remaining members of BTS: leader RM, and maknae line Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
On Wednesday, November 22, the company uploaded their official notice on Weverse:
"Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have initiated the military enlistment process. The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course.
We ask you for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook until they complete their military service and safely return. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artists. Thank you."
Last September 22, Suga became the third member of BTS to enlist, following his bandmates Jin (who enlisted first on December 13, 2022) and J-Hope (who enlisted second on April 18, 2023).

As soon as the news was announced, ARMY (the name of BTS' official fandom) all over the world took to social media to share their feelings on having to say goodbye (for now!) to the members. The phrase "WE WILL WAIT FOR YOU IN 2025" has been trending globally on Twitter, with over 185k posts as of writing.
