Kim Myung Soo, who many might also recognize as INFINITE's L, signed a contract with Universal Records and GLXY Entertainment on November 12. The K-pop idol and actor beamed with excitement as he embarks on yet another milestone and journey in his career. Through this venture, he will be able to pursue a music and other projects here in the Philippines.

Who is Kim Myung Soo?
Kim Myung Soo aka L debuted in 2010 with the K-pop group INFINITE. The group was formed and managed by Woollim Entertainment. He left the company in 2019, but continued his activities as a member of the K-pop group.
L served as the group's vocalist and was also part of their subunit INFINITE F. Meanwhile, he also pursued an acting career. He made his acting debut in Japan in 2011 with the drama Jiu Keisicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari. His most recent work, Dare to Love Me, aired from May 13 to July 2, 2024.

In 2023, the six members of INFINITE started their own company named Infinite Co., in celebration of their 13th anniversary. This marked the group's return following their indefinite hiatus. They also made their first full-group concert with Comeback Again, at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park from August 19 to 20. They also took the concert to Japan, Taiwan, and Macao.
L also actively held solo fanmeets and concerts, including Reboot, which he brought to Manila in August.

What Myung Soo has in store for his Filipino fans
Now, Myung Soo is back for his official contract signing. He is also set to have a few scheduled activities in the Philippines, which include photoshoots and other exciting activities fans should definitely keep an eye out for.
When asked why he chose to pursue a career in the Philippines despite meeting international success, he said it was actually his fans who influenced his decision. "During our last fan meeting, we received a lot of love, support, and energy," he said. "As much as possible, we just want to give back all that love, support, and energy we received from the fans in the Philippines."
Managing Director of Universal Records Philippines, Kathleen Dy-Go, also let the press know that Myung Soo hopes to release music and have acting projects in the Philippines.
