IU never disappoints—with her vocals, her performances, her kindness, and everything in between. She proves it again and again at each of her concerts. Thankfully, the Philippines became one of the stops among IU's HEREH 2024 World Tour, so Filipino fans were very lucky to have witnessed it all in one night.
One of the main highlights of her Manila concert last June 1, 2024 was her singing local band Sunkissed Lola's "Pasilyo." Fans felt like IU serenaded them right at that moment, like in a real harana.
Over 50,000 fans who filled the Philippine Arena that night swore by the amazing vocals (and visuals) of IU. Even though she was singing a Filipino song, she still slayed as if Tagalog was her first language.
Fun fact: IU has covered several songs by local artists in the Philippines. If you've been a fan of IU for more than nine years, you'll know that IU has done numerous covers of MYMP's songs. MYMP, headlined by vocalist Juris Fernandez, is famous for hit tracks, "Only Reminds Me Of You," "Tell Me Where It Hurts," and more.
IU once did a cover of MYMP's "Say You Love Me" on a Korean variety show, and even sang it during her 2019 concert in Manila. IU is also known for showcasing her own rendition of "Loving You," a song from another Filipina singer, Nina.

LOOK: Other Highlights During IU's HEREH 2024 In Manila
During IU's HEREH 2024 in the Philippines, there was one rule that everyone had to follow. The rule: No one was allowed to take videos of the concert.
Yes, you read that right. Fancams were strictly discouraged, especially in the VIP area. Some testimonies on social media revealed that IU's staff were really strict about it. But there were still numerous attendees who were able to record special moments throughout the night.
The gifts from IU's mom
It's heartwarming to know that IU's mom prepared gifts for each and every Uaena who attended the concert. Imagine filling the whole arena with specially curated gifts—she's such an amazing mom, FR.
The package included a collection book, an acrylic keyring, and of course IU's photocard! IU even reminded everyone to keep the gifts well... in Tagalog! She said, "Itago ninyong mabuti!"
The gigantic flower IU gave to a fan
IU's such a generous person. Apparently, during the concert, she also gifted a fan one gigantic flower. It was part of the props for her "Blueming" stage. Any fan who would receive a flower that large would definitely keep it—especially if it came from their idol!
However, little did IU know that the flower was just for rent, LOL! The flower shop was so cool about it, though. They told fans that they would for sure make an exception because it's IU.
The coin that IU kissed and also gave to a fan
Uaenas at the Philippine Arena were so, so, so lucky. Aside from the huge flower, IU also gave someone a special coin! What makes the coin special is that she personally chose the receiver and she also kissed it before giving it away. We can't imagine how we'd react if it was us! So happy for the fans!
