The heat is definitely on for IU's upcoming concert in Manila.
ICYDK, IU is set to hold her first-ever solo concert at the Philippine Arena on June 1, 2024, for her world tour, HEREH. The phenomenal South Korean singer-actress is gearing up to serenade her fans from the Philippines (called Maaenas), with her soulful voice.
Along with all the preparations for her highly anticipated show (it's currently sold out!), PULP Spaces+ is putting up a pop-up store exclusively for IU's HEREH merchandise! The HEREH pop-up store will open its doors to the public on the third floor of the South Entertainment Mall at the SM Mall of Asia. The pop-up store will be available between Sunday, May 19 to Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 11AM to 9PM.
IU's HEREH pop-up store offers a wide range of exclusive official IU HEREH merchandise. It also gives fans a chance to score official merchandise ahead of her June concert. You can enjoy your shopping with fellow Maaenas as the space will be specially curated for fans!
IU's HEREH pop-up store is PULP Spaces+'s debut initiative, contributing to the variety of events dedicated to promoting K-pop fan community spirit.
A list of IU's official merchandise we're hoping to see at the HEREH pop-up store
Usually, official concert merchandise is sold on the day of the concert itself. So if you have your heart set on a specific item, you usually have to go to the venue early and line up before it gets sold out. With IU's HEREH pop-up store, Pulp Spaces+ is bringing the merch closer to fans before the big day. How exciting!
Since we're still waiting for the official lineup of HEREH items that PULP Spaces+ will be bringing to Manila, we've looked around and spotted IU's official merchandise in other countries.
Apparently, we can possibly score an official HEREH bucket hat, ball cap, tote bag, sweatshirt, photocard binder, and of course an exclusive concert photocard!
More than that, we're looking forward to buying IU's lightstick at the pop-up store (fingers crossed!). After all, it's always sold out on EDAM Entertainment's official website.

What is a pop-up store in relation to K-pop?
Primarily, pop-up stores are established for a limited time only. Thus, their merch may be limited and exclusive. Pop-up stores are also made to boost promotions for certain albums of K-pop groups, or in IU's case, her concert in Manila. That's aside from giving fans a chance to get their hands on IU's official merchandise, without the need to wait for its delivery from South Korea.
In an article by The Korea Herald, it noted that attaining success as a K-pop group entails "producing top-notch merchandise" and a one-of-a-kind fan-slash-consumer experience at pop-up stores. Since the world opened up after the pandemic lockdowns, pop-up stores have experienced a boom in their numbers. Several K-pop groups have already held their own pop-up stores in Korea and in other countries.
