What’s even more fun than a Friday night? A Friday night spent watching the concert of your favorite K-pop artists! Last October 13, Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon, SHINee’s Taemin, and GOT7’s Yugyeom performed at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for K-Magic Live!, a show headlined by three dancing machines. Before the event started, PH Sones, Ahgases, and Shawols were in for a treat as they enjoyed the fan zones dedicated to their biases. They mingled with their fellow fans, got freebies, took photos with standees, and even wrote letters to the artists!

1. Hyoyeon let everyone take a ~picture~ of her.
You know what Hyoyeon deserves apart from *dessert*? It’s a warm round of applause for her extraordinary skills and she got just that during the concert! The Girls’ Generation member performed her hits such as “DEEP,” “Dessert,” “Picture,” and “Sober,” and we couldn’t help but sing along to all of her LSS-worthy songs. She was also greeted with a happy birthday by the crowd!
ICYDK, Hyoyeon is a well-known DJ, too, and she shared a bit of that during her ment in K-Magic Live!.
"It's been a while since I came to Manila and it was for a DJ event. Actually, it's been such a long time but I've been to Boracay for like two weeks, and the memories there were so wonderful." Hyoyeon promised that she would come back to the Philippines again once the opportunity arrived.
2. Yugyeom made us all go ~I want u around.~
Ask any fan (from any fandom) who attended K-Magic Live! about their feels and they will surely answer that they’ve been *converted* into a Yugyeom stan. GOT7’s maknae has the kind of stage presence that is so hard to match, so everyone was found screaming during all of his performances! Yugyeom brought the house down with tracks like “LOLO,” “Ponytail,” “Who You,” and “I Want U Around.”
We don’t know about you but the best hype K-pop song would definitely be GOT7’s “Hard Carry” and Yugyeom didn’t forget to perform this for K-Magic Live!, just like his other hyungs during their solo concerts! The crowd went sooooooo wild especially when he, along with his dancers, sprayed water on them. You guys, this show turned into a party!
3. Taemin showed that he’s the ace of all aces in every ~move.~
For the first time, Taemin sang his solo hits in Manila—and you bet Shawols were thrilled! Like the multitalented idol that he is, the SHINee member seamlessly switched from his electrifying dance tracks like “Criminal” and “MOVE” to the soulful ballad “Hypnosis,” which TBH deserves to be a K-drama OST.
Did you know that it has been six years since Taemin’s last visit to the country? He expressed that he is so grateful to his fans for giving him a warm welcome, even if it took him quite a while to come back. "When I came here with SHINee as a group, we were so happy that we got loud cheers. And, after so long, I have come here to perform in front of you guys and I'm so thankful that you are still passionate,” he shared. Aww!
