We love solo concerts but every now and then, we enjoy attending events headlined by multiple artists. Take K-pop Overpass In Manila as an example: Last June 11 at the Araneta Coliseum, Filo IDs, Sommungchis, and EXO-Ls had a blast seeing their faves onstage! If you miss B.I, Somi, and Baekhyun as much as we do, here’s a *little throwback* to what happened during the fun night.
Everything We Loved About K-Pop Overpass In Manila
1. B.I making the crowd go ~BTBT~ with 18 (!!) songs.
B.I never disappoints when it comes to hyping IDs during his concerts. We personally witnessed it during his events last August 2022 and March 2023 (read our review here), and more so when he joined the lineup for K-pop Overpass In Manila! You’ll see on Twitter that everyone was *converted* into an ID after seeing him IRL.
B.I had everyone including Sommungchis and EXO-Ls!) singing, dancing, and jumping as he performed his hit songs like “BTBT,” “Cosmos,” and “Waterfall.” The Korean artist also sang tracks from his latest album such as “Dare To Love,” “Wave,” and “MICHELANGELO” (we screamed during the “My belief is bigger than your motherfucking doubt” part!) What made the crowd go even wilder was when B.I went down the stage to interact with the fans. Fan service king, indeed!

2. Somi shaking it like it’s her ~birthday.~
It was Somi’s first time visiting the Philippines (Fun fact: Her mom visited the country when she was pregnant with her) and she was welcomed with so much warmth by Filo Sommungchis! “Hay naku. Mabuhay! There are a lot of people here,” she said. The 22-year-old living Barbie doll definitely felt the love and mentioned that she can’t wait to come back. Somi graced the stage with her undeniable charisma while performing crowd favorites like “Dumb Dumb,” “Birthday,” and “What You Waiting For.” We were even treated to a rock version of “Anymore” which she sang for the very first time!

3. Baekhyun reminding us why we ~love him again.~
It’s been almost four years since Baekhyun’s last visit to Manila and TBH, we were lowkey wiping our tears the moment he entered the stage. Because it’s THE Byun Baekhyun, you guys! The EXO member started his set with “UN Village,” followed by “Betcha,” “Candy,” “Love Again,” and “Bambi.” During his ment, Baekhyun shared how he missed us so much and also thanked his fans. “Babalik ako. I promise. EXO’s new album is coming out. I hope that you will wait for us a little bit more. The next time we come back, we will make sure that we will have a longer time together.” We will surely wait for you and EXO, king!
