If you've been online recently, then you've probably heard of BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars' latest hit, "APT," that's taking the Internet by storm. Well, how could it not with its catchy tune and lyrics that make it impossible not to be LSS with it? (You're singing it in your head now too, aren't you?)
The song's release and the pair's collaboration came as a pleasant surprise. Plus, they matched it with a beat and hook that'll def make its way to your head—and a cute music video to add at that. But the lighthearted song is actually about something quite as unexpected, especially if you're not Korean.
The two have already let us in on it with their super cute Instagram posts and interactions beforehand. The song is actually about the K-pop idol's favorite Korean drinking game, 'apateu,' which of course, she taught Bruno how to play. And since we're her 'number ones,' Rosé showed us how the game is played, too.

In an Instagram Reel, she says, "Since it's my favorite game, we're gonna sing, 'Rosie's favorite game. Game start," and then she begins to explain how the caller of the game will say a number, and each of the players will then place their hands in the middle, and on top of each other's. The person whose hands end up on top has to drink.

To help Filipino BLINKs understand the game even better, Korean content creator Sunny Lee took to TikTok to explain what it's about. By now, you might have already guessed it to be about an apartment complex. In her now-viral TikTok, she says, "Basically it means, 'apartment,' in Korean and the game is very easy."
All the players begin by placing their hands in the middle while chanting, "apateu." After the chant is done, she explains that all the players then mix their hands, placing one on top of the other, "making one apartment."

Once all the hands are in the middle and connected to one another, "you will say a number, like 10th floor, fifth floor." Then it starts from the bottom. The hand placed the lowest will bring it up, and start calling out the floors until the number of the floor mentioned. The one who places their hand last will be the one to drink. "And then the person that drank, will now say the floor in the next round."
So, not only did Rosé and Bruno bless us with a smash hit, they also imparted a really fun party game that is easy enough to try on our next hang out with friends!
