Sad news, PH Onces: TWICE’s Chaeyoung will not be participating in the group’s upcoming Bulacan concerts due to health issues.
On Friday, September 29, JYP Entertainment announced that the idol would be sitting out TWICE's sold-out READY TO BE concerts this weekend. The group is scheduled to perform for two nights at the Philippine Arena.
"We convey this unfortunate news with a heavy heart as we know everyone was eagerly anticipating the show. We kindly request your understanding as this decision was made after much consideration to protect the health of the artist," the agency said. The company did not specify details about their artist's condition.
The remaining eight members—Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, and Tzuyu—will take to the stage on Saturday, September 30, and Sunday, October 1.
This marks the group's return to the country since their Twicelights concert in June 2019. The nine-member girl group debuted in 2015, and made a comeback in March 2023 with their 12th mini-album READY TO BE. They also received the Breakthrough Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2023.
