ICYMI, there have been several news reports regarding the contracts of BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The girl group debuted on August 8, 2016 with their first single album Square One, and recently wrapped up their highly-successful BORN PINK world tour with a finale night in Seoul. The girls made history as the first K-pop female artists to hold a concert at Gocheok Sky Dome.

Last September 21, YG Entertainment gave a short statement regarding the members’ contract renewals: "Currently, BLACKPINK's contract renewal has not been confirmed and is being discussed."

On September 25, News1 reported that Jennie and Jisoo have each established their own individual agencies. The members are allegedly still discussing their group activities with YG Entertainment, while their own companies will be mostly for their individual activities.

In response to the recent news report, YG Entertainment commented, "Nothing has been confirmed regarding BLACKPINK’s contract renewals and their future activities."
