Hours after 2NE1's comeback concert in the Philippines was held, YG Entertainment released a statement addressing Park Bom's situation during theirWelcome Back concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on November 17, 2024.
"We are deeply sorry to let you know that Park Bom of 2NE1 was unable to complete her performance due to health-related issues at the "2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN MANILA," their statement began. It was posted via Live Nation Philippines' Instagram Story. The South Korean K-pop agency explained that they tried providing medical aid for Park Bom, but it was not enough for her to resume her performance with the group. "Despite receiving emergency medical attention on-site, her condition did not improve, and unfortunately, she was unable to return to the stage."
Around that time, the remaining members onstage, CL, Minzy, and Dara (Sandara Park) still gave their fans, a.k.a. the Blackjacks a night to remember. After all, it was their comeback concert in the Philippines since they last visited in 2011. Their last Manila concert in the country as an active K-pop group was the The Party: 2NE1 Live In Manila. It's been over a decade!
CL reportedly informed the crowd that night that Bom was not feeling well since the night before. But of course, the South Korean idol tried with all her heart to still meet Filipino Blackjacks. Aww!
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment expressed apologies to the fans, highlighting that their artists' health will always be their top priority. "Sincere apologies to everyone who had been waiting for this concert. We will do our utmost to ensure our artist's recovery as we fully understand the concern of the fans. Thank you," they conveyed.

2NE1's visit to Manila
It's been a long time coming for both 2NE1 and Filipino Blackjacks. Their sold-out two-day concert was a dream come true not just for the fans, but also for the members. ICYDK, the girl group that drew massive attention to the K-pop industry disbanded in 2016. Since then, the four members pursued their solo careers—but take note: their sisterhood carried on through the years. And it was extremely evident in the thousands of fan cams that Blackjacks uploaded over the weekend. Everyone had the time of their lives.
Obviously, Dara was one of the happiest. We all know that Dara started her showbiz career in the Philippines as the "Pambansang Krung-Krung" that the whole nation loves until now. As soon as YG Entertainment officially announced 2NE1's comeback tour, Dara spent more time interacting with Blackjacks who were just as thrilled as her about the news.
Over on X (formerly Twitter), one fan previously requested that the girl group should visit the Philippines once again. "Ati sana included Philippines sa concert niyo sa 2025." Dara who seemed a bit hesitant but still hopeful responded with, "Marami pa bang PH Blackjacks? That is my wish siyempre [praying emoji]." Clearly, there were tons of Filipino Blackjacks still adoring 2NE1, and they will never go away. That's for sure.
Congrats on your successful Manila concert, 2NE1 and get well soon, Bom!
