1. Eating junky food. Although some evidence shows that poor nutrition can make it harder to conceive, a bigger danger is that, over time, crap chow will make your weight balloon. The more body-fat cells you have, the more estrogen you produce, which can disrupt your cycle.
2. Hooking up without condoms. Going bareback can result in an infection with an STD, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea, which if left untreated may produce scar tissue in your reproductive tract that blocks conception. No matter what, always insist on condoms unless you know for sure a guy is not infected.
3. Smoking. Lots of girls who don’t consider themselves smokers puff away at parties and bars. Don’t. A slew of studies shows that any amount of smoking can lead to premature aging of your eggs and make it difficult to get pregnant. Also, smoking is linked to a higher risk of micarriage.
