In a few days, we'll finally get to see the highly anticipated iPhone 12 Series. Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing tweeted "Let the countdown begin" along with a photo of his phone's screen with a reminder for the Apple event happening "in seven days."

According to reports, Apple has sent invites to the Apple Event which have been circulating online. The invite says "Hi, Speed" (which is most likely a reference to 5G connectivity, a feature that the iPhone 12 Series is rumored to have) and an exact date: October 13, 2020 10:00 a.m. PDT.
It looks like avid Apple leaker Jon Prosser was right, again and this is all he's got to say:
Now that we've got an official date, it's time to set our alarms!
For now, here's what we know about the iPhone 12 so far:
The iPhone 12 Pro Max might have flat edges.
The last time we saw Apple come out with an iPhone with flat edges was in 2012 when they came out with the iPhone 5. According to the video, the iPhone 12 Pro Max's frame will be pretty similar to the new iPad Pro, featuring flat steel edges and an overall sleeker design.
It might feature Apple's largest iPhone screen.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature a 6.7-inch screen display, which is the largest in any iPhone. For comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro Max has a screen size of 6.5 inches.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max might feature a smaller notch.
For those who hate how wide the notch goes for iPhones, it looks like Apple heard you. According to the CAD render that leaked, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a much smaller notch so you'll get more screen display. However, because the render is only 70 percent complete, the new notch might not be the final design.
The rear cameras will be similar to the new iPad Pro's camera layout.
If you compare the iPhone 11's rear camera layout with the iPad Pro's, you'll notice that the latter's design fits its lenses in a perfect square while the former's is slightly rectangular. Plus, the iPhone 11's lenses jut out from the glass but it looks like the new iPhone 12 Pro Max's lenses will sit closer to the glass, so it's much flatter.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max might have a Smart Connector.
Based on the leaked CAD render, the sim card tray would be transferred to the left side of the smartphone and what might replace it on the right side is seemingly a smaller version of the Smart Connector, similar to the iPad Pro's. Previously, there were rumors that there would be Apple Pencil for iPhones, though Filip Koroy of EverythingApplePro points out that in the smartphone's current state, the power button would be intruding. So this could possibly mean that Apple might come out with other accessories that are compatible with the Smart Connector on the side of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple might be coming out with a Navy Blue iPhone 12 Pro Max.
According to Max Weinbach, another popular leaker, Apple will be coming out with a Navy Blue model for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and it is most likely replacing the Midnight Green color.
The non-Pro models might come in new colors.
It looks like Apple is also considering releasing the iPhone 12 (non-Pro model) in new colors such as light blue, a shade of violet, and a light orange—but they will only be choosing two of the three colors. It is also not clear if the new colors will replace existing iPhone colors.
