Here are the Cosmo HQ, we can't get enough of space makeovers: There's the Pinay who worked a little DIY magic in her bedroom to take care of her mental health; the one who transformed her apartment into boho paradise; and the 21-year-old who gave her room a ~cool girl~ aesthetic.
Another story we absolutely love is that of Karen Christine (KC) Riva's family. She and her husband Richard bought a lot in 2019 and had plans of exchanging it for a beach, but the deal didn't push through. When the pandemic hit, they decided to develop the land.

They originally planned on just building a bahay kubo, a place for them to unwind—but then their dreams kept getting bigger and bigger. KC took care of all the design and planning while Richard put his engineering and construction knowledge to good use.

The tiny house is painted red so it stands out from the greenery in the area. Inside, they have a pool and a mezzanine that doubles as their bedroom. But KC's favorite spot? The kitchen!

Eventually, they also invested in a tree house—something KC has wanted since she was a child—and a mini forest. Their total investment is P350,000.
