She's a celebrity, a self-proclaimed mermaid, and a businesswoman—Sam Pinto has been living the life! The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate reintroduced her beach-filled life to the public in a recent YouTube vlog with TV personality Karen Davila. In the video, Sam happily shared the completion of her own resort, L'Sirene Boutique Resort.
It shouldn't be a surprise to many that celebrities like Sam would have the means to put up their own beach resort. But we're still in awe after finding out how much Sam had saved from all her hard work and how she had utilized it so well.
Sam Pinto's L'Sirene Boutique Resort
L'Sirene Boutique Resort, located in Baler, Aurora is a 3.5-hectare property that gives its customers direct access to the beach, an amazing beach view, and surf-ready waves.
We all know it's expensive to maintain a house, moreso a resort. But despite the challenges and risks, Sam pushed through with creating her own resort. She envisioned it to be her business as the 33-year-old celebrity acknowledges the fact that showbiz may not be her career forever. And after all, being financially stable is always a good thing in life.
But how did she purchase a 3.5-hectare-sized land? The answer: her savings. "Full bayad na agad...I think it was 17 million," Sam shyly told Karen during the interview. A whopping 17 million that came from her endorsements, projects, and contracts made it possible for her to be a resort owner.
As with any property and owner, L'Sirene became an extension of Sam's personality. She decided to use "mermaid" as a theme because she thinks of herself as a mermaid. Sam even shared that she learned how to swim even before she turned one year old! As she grew older, she came to love more sports that really involved water or the ocean.

She also opened up about how she came to love Baler. "It all started kasi na mahilig ako sa beach...I'm a Sagittarius so I love anything to do with sports. Free diving, surfing, love ko 'yan. Someone told me, pumunta ka sa Baler...'Nung pumunta kami [rito], na-in love na talaga ako kasi ang ganda niya," Sam said.
Sam was able to put up and complete her resort before she turned 30. Now, in its full glory, Sam admits that building L'Sirene wasn't a one-time big-time project. Instead, it was all pieced together one at a time. "Paunti-unti [yung establishment]. It just started with the three clusters, with the rooms, and restaurants. And then we started investing with the pools," she declared.
Curious, Karen asked Sam if she was ever scared of pushing through with her plans for a resort. Laughing, Sam confessed that she didn't know what she was doing. But she took the risks. She showcased so much confidence in it as she built the resort with patience and hard work.
By the way, her resort also includes her beach house in Baler! It has the perfect beach view. Goals, FR!
Sam Pinto's showbiz career
Sam entered showbiz at the age of 19 years old when she entered the reality show Pinoy Big Brother. Afterwards, she was cast in several projects, did modeling gigs, and booked huge endorsements—all of which, she said, significantly contributed to her savings.
Five years ago, Sam took a break from showbiz. She felt it was time to take a break and focus more on herself. She shared her sentiments as she took a hiatus from showbiz.

"I think I was already happy with my life. And I got tired, kasi grabe talaga 'yun, I was grinding to the point na pagod na pagod na ako. 'Gusto ko pa ba 'to?' I was asking myself. And then I was like, 'Why not stop muna and then think of my mental health and just be happy for a little bit and content already with what I've done?' So, parang sige, let's take a break," Sam noted.
It was only in 2023 when she came back to the showbiz scene with a role in the GMA teleserye, Abot Kamay na Pangarap. Even though she was reminded of why she took a break from showbiz because of how tiring it was, she still enjoyed her return to acting.
Sam Pinto's marriage with Anthony Semerad
Now, Sam has been shifting all her focus on her family and of course, her growing resort business. ICYDK, Sam married Anthony Semerad in an intimate wedding in 2021. They tied the knot with only four guests due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time, but surely, it was still one of the best moments of Sam's life.
Sam also recalled the time that she just knew that Anthony was "the one" for her. It was a surprise, even for her, but among the boyfriends she's had in the past, it was Anthony who made her feel that she wanted to get married and have a family of her own.
She happily told Karen, "He's my partner in life, in love, in everything. So he has to be [my priority]." At present, Sam and Anthony are parents to their beautiful daughter, Mia.
